Materials

Compound specification and selection information. You may already know the type of compound you require. If not, then let us help advise you about the best material for your needs.
We process FDA food-safe and metal detectable materials, SBR, Natural Rubber, Neoprene, Nitrile, EPDM, Butyl, Polyurethane, FKM/Viton, Silicone, Fluoro silicone and many more, all in a fully customisable variety of colours and finishes.
If none of these common compounds fit your needs, we are happy to discuss your requirements and fully tailor the formula to better fit your product specifications.

Some of the different compounds that we work with –
Neoprene moulded parts.

Neoprene

Resists degradation more than natural or synthetic rubbers, this makes neoprene well suited for applications such as gaskets, hoses and bearings. It exhibits good chemical stability and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range which means it can be used in a variety of commercial applications such as braces, electrical insulation, elastomeric membranes and automotive belts.

Nitrile

Nitrile

Stable at high temperatures, which makes it an ideal material for automotive and aeronautical applications, such as fuel hoses, seals and grommets.
It is also used to produce floor mats, footwear and moulded goods as well as laboratory examination equipment and cleaning gloves due to its resilience and superior flexibility and resistance to oils and acids.

EPDM moulded components.

EPDM

An extremely durable, synthetic rubber widely used in seals and gaskets. It is one of the most versatile materials available, being WRAS approved as well as acid resisting.

Butyl

Butyl

A synthetic rubber that is impermeable to air and used in many applications requiring an airtight rubber seal, typically used in the manufacturing of O-rings, diaphragms and rubber stoppers used for sealing vials and bottles.

Polyurethane diaphragms and bump stops.

Polyurethane

Polyurethane is a high performance rubber for applications requiring high abrasion resistance, ozone resistance, oil and fuel resistance and hydrolytic stability.
This can be processed by transfer or compression moulding to produce finished parts. This is commonly vulcanised with organic peroxides or sulphur with thiazole accelerators.

FKM/Viton moulded valves and seals.

FKM/Viton & Alternatives

Fluoroelastomers for high performance and durability in a wide range of applications and has excellent resistance to high temperatures, ozone, weather, oxygen, hydraulic fluids, aromatics and solvents, therefore can be used for critical components such as O-rings, seals, gaskets, high voltage cables and hoses.

Natural rubber moulded products.

Natural Rubber

Due to its ability to absorb vibration, natural rubber is mainly used for dampeners, most popular for sealing non-hydraulic applications and commonly used within food and beverage industry, as it has a good resistance to organic acids and alcohols.
Natural rubber also has a high tear strength and abrasion resisting properties. This also adheres well to metals with its excellent friction surface.

Food safe and non food safe moulded silicone.

Silicone

Made from hydrogen, carbon, oxygen and silicon, silicone is a group of elastomers, with one of the widest working temperature ranges, renowned for its low compression set characteristics and retention of flexibility. Due to the compound being very versatile, silicone is popular for use in many food and medical industries.
